Our embroidered slippers carry a motif that says something about you, from a classic car or a cigar to a sea turtle, a lobster or a flag. Every pair is made to order for men and women, in the material and colours you choose.
Embroidered slippers with a story
Each design starts with an embroidered motif on the front of the slipper, and many add a second detail on the side, such as the hunting horn on our Country Pursuits slippers or the Cuban flag on our Cigar Cuban Castaway slippers. The motif sets the theme, and you choose everything else.

Motifs to choose from
- Cigars and cocktails: cigar bands, martinis and an old fashioned
- Country pursuits: shooting, hunting and riding
- The sea: anchors, sea turtles and the blue lobster
- Travel and cars: the camper van and classic cars
- Flags and emblems: the Union Jack, the Stars and Stripes and the Cuban flag
- Words: calligraphy and monograms
Choose the base
The same motif looks different on velvet, linen, tweed or kid suede. Linen and suede suit summer and daytime, while velvet and tweed suit evenings and cooler months. Then choose the trim, lining and sole colour, and add your initials if you wish. For a design built around your initials, see our personalised slippers.
Embroidered slippers for men and women
For men, the Mark Slipper carries most of our motifs. For women, the Annabel Slipper is embroidered with designs from sea turtles and lobsters to calligraphy. Several motifs, such as the British bulldog, the blue lobster and the sea turtle, come in both men’s and women’s styles.
How to wear embroidered slippers
- Summer and holidays: linen or suede with a nautical or beach motif.
- Evenings: velvet with a cocktail or cigar motif. See also our men’s velvet slippers.
- Country weekends: tweed with a country pursuits motif.
- Celebrations: a flag or a favourite place, worn with a smile.
Why choose embroidered slippers?
Embroidery has decorated shoes and slippers for centuries, and it is still the most personal way to finish a pair. A plain slipper is elegant; an embroidered one starts a conversation. Because our embroidered slippers are made to order, the motif is set on the material and colours you choose, so your pair is not one of many on a shop shelf.
Caring for embroidered slippers
Brush your slippers gently and avoid rubbing the embroidery. Keep them out of heavy rain, let them dry naturally away from direct heat if they get wet, and store them with shoe trees to help them keep their shape.
